Kenny Compton, Jr. and the #10 team ventured to East Tennessee on July 11-12 for a pair of high-profile programs. On Friday night at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee, the Ultimate Super Late Model Series presided over a $5,000 to win showdown. Kenny timed in seventh quickest during qualifying and later started the 50-lap main event from the inside of the fourth row. Unfortunately, the Bland, Virginia ace was caught up in a late wreck, which badly damaged his racecar and relegated him to a disappointing thirteenth place effort.

The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series then rolled into the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Saturday evening to sanction a $4,000 to win tilt. Kenny only posted the eighteenth fastest lap during time trials, but put on a show from his ninth row starting position in the A-Main. The current Carolina Clash point leader blitzed past thirteen competitors en route to a strong fifth place showing at "The Gap" behind only winner Billy Ogle, Jr., Vic Hill, Chad Ogle, and Anthony Burroughs. JULY 6, 2014
The KC Racing team hit the road over the 4th of July holiday weekend to compete in a trio of $3,000 to win special events in the states of South Carolina and North Carolina. Following a rain-out of the FUEL Series showdown on Thursday, July 3 at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina, the #10 team made their first-ever visit to Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, North Carolina on Friday evening, July 4. Kenny Compton, Jr. timed in fifteenth quickest for the Southern Nationals Bonus Race, which locked him into the inside of the eighth row for the start of the $3,000 to win main event. During the 40-lap headliner at Ray Cook's racetrack, Kenny blasted past thirteen competitors en route to a stellar runner-up effort behind only race winner Casey Roberts!

The tripleheader weekend wrapped up on Saturday, July 5 with another FUEL Series program at Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, North Carolina. Kenny knocked down the third fastest lap during time trials and later redrew the fifth starting spot prior to the drop of the green flag in the A-Main. The Bland, Virginia native was then running in the fourth position early in the race when a broken shock relegated Kenny to a disappointing fourteenth place performance. Kenny Compton, Jr. and his #10 team invaded Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, North Carolina on Saturday night, June 21 for another Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series showdown. Kenny qualified sixth quickest during the time trial session and later started the $4,000 to win headliner from the outside of the third row. The Bland, Virginia native then worked his way past two competitors during the 40-lapper to score a solid fourth place performance behind only victor Brandon Overton, Dennis Franklin, and Zack Mitchell. Kenny stretched out his current Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series point lead with the top five finish last night at Friendship. The KC Racing team followed the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series tour to Laurens County Speedway in Laurens, South Carolina on Tuesday evening, June 10 for the annual running of the 'Laurens County Shrine Race.' Kenny Compton, Jr. laid down the fourth fastest lap during the qualifying session, which locked him into the outside of the second row for the start of the $3,500 to win feature event. Kenny, who is the current Carolina Clash point leader, then drove his new Rocket car to a sixth place effort in the 35-lapper - trailing only winner Dennis Franklin, Zack Mitchell, Brandon Overton, Ross Bailes, and Chris Madden. Bland, Virginia ace Kenny Compton, Jr. debuted a brand-new Rocket Chassis on Saturday evening, June 7 at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, North Carolina! The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series presided over a $4,000 to win program last night at Fayetteville. After suffering mechanical troubles during qualifying, which led to Kenny posting the nineteenth quickest time, he rolled off starting from the inside of the tenth row in the 40-lap feature event. The current Carolina Clash point leader then salvaged his night by driving past eleven competitors en route to a solid eighth place performance. Kenny Compton, Jr. and the KC Racing team were back on the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series trail on Saturday, May 31 at Lancaster Motor Speedway in Lancaster, South Carolina. After blowing a motor in his primary car early in the night, Kenny unfortunately hit the wall with his back-up mount during qualifying and did not record an official time. The Bland, Virginia native wound up starting the $4,000 to win feature event from the inside of the tenth row and was able to ride around to gain twelve spots during the race. At the checkers, Kenny was seventh in the final finishing order, which puts him tied for the top spot in the latest version of the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series point standings with Johnny Pursley. The ultra-busy Memorial Day holiday weekend wrapped up tonight for the KC Racing team at Princeton Speedway in Princeton, West Virginia. The Fastrak Racing Series sanctioned a pair of Twin 25s tonight at Princeton and a $1,200 winner's check was on the line in each race. Kenny won his heat race in preliminary action for both shows and also posted strong runs in the 25-lap features as well. The Bland, Virginia native rallied to second to finish a strong runner-up behind only winner Aaron Barley in the first A-Main, while he climbed to sixth in the second main event of the evening. Kenny Compton, Jr. timed in eighth quickest during the qualifying session and later redrew the fifth starting spot prior to the drop of the green flag in the 25-lap main event. Kenny Compton, Jr. recorded wins number two and three of the 2014 racing season on Friday night, May 9 at Beckley Motor Speedway in Mount Hope, West Virginia! Behind the wheel of his Super Late Model, Kenny timed in third fastest during the qualifying session and later finished second in his heat race despite suffering a flat tire during the prelim. After starting third on the grid in the A-Main, Kenny grabbed the point on lap 15 and dominated the remainder of the show en route to claiming the $1,200 top prize. In Crate Late Model competition, Kenny qualified sixth quickest in time trials, ran third in his heat race, and once again dominated the feature to nab the $800 payday. After a few weekends away from the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series grind, Kenny Compton, Jr. and the rest of the cars and stars of the series ventured south to Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia on Saturday, May 3 for a $4,000 to win showdown. Kenny qualified sixth fastest during the time trial session, which locked the Bland, Virginia driver into the outside of the third row for the start of the 40-lapper. In what turned out to be a thriller of a race, Kenny moved to as high as fourth in the running order before eventually settling for a solid fifth place performance. At the checkers, he trailed only winner Dennis Franklin, Brandon Overton, Jordy Nipper, and Casey Barrow. The Bland, Virginia native then dominated the A-Main, as he led from flag-to-flag to score the $1,000 payday over Kenny Peeples, Jr., Derek Harmon, Randy Harmon, and Mark Sant. Bland, Virginia ace Kenny Compton, Jr. returned to dirt-slinging action on Saturday night, April 19 at the nearby Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia. After timing in sixth quickest in the Crate Late Model division at the big 1/2-mile oval, Kenny started the weekly feature event from the outside of the third row. He then advanced up to third near the halfway point in the A-Main before his racecar got "tight" and eventually lost all of its brakes. Kenny wound up limping his machine home in the fifth position, as he trailed only winner Barry Arnold, Jason Lawrence, Trevor Cregger, and Lance Reynolds to the checkers. Kenny timed in seventh quickest during the qualifying session, which enabled the Bland, Virginia ace to start the 40-lapper from the inside of the fourth row. He then moved all the way up to the third spot until suffering an untimely flat right rear tire, which sent him pitside to the attention of the KC Racing crew. Kenny returned to the speedplant at the tail end of the lead lap cars and blasted back through the field to salvage a fourth place effort behind only victor Jonathan Davenport, Brandon Overton, and Kyle Pierce. The #10 KC Racing team invaded the Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, North Carolina on Saturday, March 15 for the 14th edition of the 'Skyler Trull Memorial,' which served as the 2014 lid lifter for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series. Kenny Compton, Jr. laid down the sixth fastest lap of the 27 entrants during qualifying, which locked him into the outside of the third row for the start of the $4,000 to win main event. Unfortunately, Kenny was involved in a wreck on one of the initial starts of the race and was sent to the rear of the field. He battled all the way back up to seventh before another incident knocked out the radiator and forced the Bland, Virginia native to retire from the 40-lapper in the fifteenth position. MARCH 2, 2014
Kenny Compton, Jr. and his #10 team kicked off their version of the 2014 racing season on March 1-2 with the annual running of 'March Madness' at the renowned Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina. Both weekend events were Southern Nationals Bonus Races and paid $3,000 and $10,000 to win respectively. On Saturday, Kenny timed in ninth quickest during the qualifying session, which locked him into the inside of the fifth row for the start of the 30-lap main event. The Bland, Virginia ace wound up retiring at the halfway mark in the race due to overheating woes and was scored in the thirteenth finishing position.

Things heated up at Cherokee earlier today, as more cars filed into the speedway for the $10,000 to win 'March Madness' finale. Kenny posted the twenty-first fastest lap during time trials and later placed seventh in his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the twelfth row in the 60-lapper, Kenny completed only twenty-eight circuits due to more motor troubles and was once again paid for thirteenth at the pay window following the race.
